"Dugong Buhay" lead actor Ejay Falcon was accidentally punched on the face by his co-star, Ronnie Quizon, during one of their tapings for the said teleserye.

A footage of the incident, which was uploaded on YouTube last June 23, 2013, clearly captured the blow but did minimal stirrings from the fans knowing that such incidents normally occur during tapings and shootings whether for a tv commercial, tv series or a movie. Quizon, needless to say, apologized immediately after the incident.
Created by Carlo J. Caparas and directed by Toto Natividad, "Dugong Buhay" is based on the 1983 film with the same title. It airs weekdays after "My Little Juan" in ABS-CBN Kapamilya Gold.
Aside from Falcon, the soap also stars Sunshine Cruz, Noni Buencamino, Ana Capri, Ketchup Eusebio, Arjo Atayde, Jed Montero and Yam Concepcion.
