The case of the Michigan mom who vanished during a shift at a gas station has now been reclassified by the police as an abduction.

Michigan Mom Disappears
The Norton Shores Police Department said 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa went missing while working at the Exxon Mobil gas station on 1196 E. Sternberg Road late Friday evening. She was preparing to close the store when the incident occurred.

NSPD officers were dispatched to Heeringa's workplace after a 911 call from customers who found no employees present at the gas station. They discovered Heeringa's purse and other belongings, which were all undisturbed. No money was missing from the cash drawer.

Heeringa is described as a white female, 5’1 tall, approximately 110 lbs., blond shoulder length hair, and blue eyes. She is also known to wear wired rim glasses and she may be wearing a blue collared shirt saying "Sternberg Exxon."

Authorities are now searching for a silver minivan, possibly a Chrysler Town and Country, that was seen in the area of the Exxon station prior to Heeringa's disappearance.

The driver is described as a white male, approximately 30-40 years old, around 6 feet tall, medium to heavy build, broad shoulders, light brown or sandy blond wavy hair parted in the middle and slightly longer on top, wearing a bright red or orange sweatshirt.

There were no security cameras operating at the station at the time of Heeringa’s disappearance.
