Ariella Arida Crowned Binibining Pilipinas-Universe 2013

Ariella Arida took home the most sought-after title in the 2013 Binibining Pilipinas pageant, the Miss Universe-Philippines.

The 24-year-old Alaminos, Laguna native bested 49 other lovely ladies from all over the country to bag the coveted crown, which earned her the right to represent the Philippines in the 2013 Miss Universe tilt. She also won the "Best in Swimsuit" award.

During the Question-and-Answer portion, Arida was asked about what life lesson can women teach men.

She responded, "One lesson in life that we, women, can teach men is being sensitive. Because we all know that men are more logical when it comes to decisions. They usually are more rational, straight forward. Unlike we, women, we use our heart and we tend to get emotional in some of our decisions... For me, sensitivity is something that we can teach men."

Arida graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of the Philippines-Los Banos. She previously competed in the 2012 Miss Earth Philippines.
