$450K Lamborghini Cop Car Unveiled In Dubai (Photo)

A $450K Lamborghini cop car has joined Dubai's fleet of police cars.

The head-turning Lamborghini Aventador, in local police colors, will be used by the Dubai police at main tourist sites.

"The aim is to reflect the reputation of the emirate and the high stature it achieved," said Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina. "It will also help promote tourism and showcase the security role the Dubai police plays in safeguarding the city."

The $450K Lamborghini cop car, which bears the number 8 on a customized license plate, has a maximum speed of 217 mph (349kph) and can accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-97 kph) in 2.9 seconds.

Dubai Police is not the first force to add Lamborghini in its fleet. The sports car has also been used by police forces in Italy and Qatar.
