A woman in Argentina married her twin sister's killer on Thursday and many people, including the woman's family, aren't happy about it.

Woman marries twin sister's killer
In a Valentine's Day civil wedding held in the town of Pico Truncado, Edith Casas, 22, exchanged vows with Victor Cingolani, who was convicted of killing Casas' twin sister, Johana, two years ago.

No one from Casas' family attended the ceremony and a mob reportedly gathered outside the venue, throwing stones and eggs.

Casas believes that Cinggolani is innocent despite his conviction. She had to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, which was requested by her mother, to have a judge approve a day pass for the groom, who is serving a 13-year jail sentence for the murder.

"For me, they are both dead. Johana is with God and Edith with the devil," said Casas' father, Valentin.

Cingolani, who was escorted by several armed police officers, was taken back to prison in handcuffs immediately after the controversial wedding while Casas had to wait for hours until the crowd dispersed and it was safe to leave.
