Bagyong Crising is now at 750 km Southeast of General Santos City, prompting the PAGASA to place four Mindanao provinces under Public Warning Storm Signal No. 1.

The state weather bureau hoisted Signal No. 1 over Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley.

Bagyong Crising, a tropical depression, is packing maximum winds of 45 kph near its eye and moves at 19 kph towards the West Northwest direction, the PAGASA said.

PAGASA added that the cyclone is expected to be at 350 km East of General Santos Cityon Tuesday afternoon and 40 km Southeast of Cotabato City by Wednesday afternoon.

"Residents living in low lying and mountainous areas under public storm warning signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Estimated rainfall amount is from 5 - 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression," the PAGASA wrote on its bulletin on Monday, February 18, 2013.

"Fishing boats and other small seacrafts are advised not to venture out into the eastern seaboards of the country and over the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon."

Bagyong Crising is the third tropical cyclone to have entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility this year.
