New Sexiest Man Alive Named By People Magazine

The new "sexiest man alive" has been officially proclaimed by People magazine, today.

This year's recipient of the esteemed title is no other than Channing Tatum.

"He's the triple threat this year," People's Julie Jordan told TODAY. "There was romance in 'The Vow,' there was comedy with '21 Jump Street' and that little film 'Magic Mike' where he was a stripper. He's more than just a body, he's got heart, he loves his wife (actress Jenna Dewan) and he's ready to be a daddy."

The 32-year-old actor now joins the ranks of George Clooney, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Ryan Reynolds, who were all given the title in the past years. Last year's "sexiest man" was Bradley Cooper.

Tatum is going to star in four films set for 2013 release. The movies' titles are "G.I. Joe: Retaliation," "The Bitter Pill," "White House Down," and "Foxcatcher."
