An Ohio man will be jailed for teasing a disabled girl, several news sites reported Tuesday.

Jailed for teasing disabled girl
Forty-three-year-old William Bailey of East Sparta, who pleaded no contest to reduced charges of menacing and a minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge, was sentenced Tuesday to 29 days in jail by a Canton Municipal Court judge.

In late September, Bailey was caught on tape allegedly making fun of how a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy walks. The video, which became viral online, sparked widespread outrage over the perceived bullying.

In a statement issued through his lawyer, Bailey asked the disabled kid and her family to accept his apology for his "inappropriate behavior" and said that he did not realize the impact the incident would have in both families.

Bailey has been ordered to report to the Stark County jail in January and to pay $400 in court costs and fines.
