Top 20 Schools In The Philippines October 2012 List 'Fake' Says PRC

The "Top 20 Schools in the Philippines" list that has been making the rounds in social media sites is fake, according to the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).

On Tuesday, PRC issued a statement on its official website, saying "it does not conduct a study on a 10-year interval and does not merge board exam results of all its regulated professions based on their average passing rates," contrary to what the viral list claims.

It added that any information concerning the Commission are only posted on its website.

The said "Top 20 Schools in the Philippines" list ranks local universities and colleges as follows:

1.     University of the Philippines-Diliman
2.     University of the Philippines-Los Banos
3.     University of the Philippines-Manila
4.     Siliman University
5.     Ateneo de Davao University
6.     Ateneo de Manila University
7.     University of Sto. Tomas
8.     Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology
9.     Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
10.     Saint Louis University
11.     University of San Carlos
12.     Xavier University
13.     Mindanao State University-Marawi 
14.     Urios College
15.     Polytechnic University of the Philippines
16.     De La Salle University
17.     Mapua Institute of Technology
18.     Adamson University
19.     Central Mindanao University
20.     University of Southern Philippines

Again, the above list is a hoax.
