According to the Miss Universe organization, the coronation night of the prestigious beauty contest will be held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 19, 2012.
Dominican Republic was previously considered to be this year's host but the nation said it cannot provide the $6 million that organizers requested as financial assistance.
This year will be the 61st edition of Miss Universe, with Angola native Leila Lopes crowning her successor.
