Jeremy Wuitschick
Milton, Wash. 7th grader Jeremy Wuitschick immediately grabbed the steering wheel of the school bus he was riding after he noticed that the driver was shaking and his arms flailing. Wuitschick then turned the bus filled with students toward the side of the road and turned off the ignition.

"I was just thinking, 'I don’t want to die,'" the 13-year-old student told the Associated Press. "I turned to the right. Turned to the side of the road. Took the keys out of the ignition. We started slowing down, and I said, ‘Somebody call 911!'"

With first aid training from the Red Cross, he, together with another student Johnny Wood, then initiated chest compressions on the driver until adults arrived.

According to reports, the 43-year-old driver was in "grave condition" at a hospital.
