According to MIPS Technologies, Inc., the new tablet computer has 7" capacitive multi-touch screen - with 8" and 9" form factors to be available later. It has support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0, HDMI 1.3 and microSD, as well as 3D graphics with the Vivante GC860 GPU, 1080p video decoding and dual front/rear cameras. The tablet's XBurst processor also has power-efficient architecture which provides extended battery life-the 7" tablet draws less than 400mA during active web browsing. Its battery can last 6 hours for games, 25 hours for music, 8 hours for video, 7 hours for web browsing and 300 hours for standby.
MIPS said the tablet will be available in North American and other regions "within the next several months under brands from companies including Leader International Inc. and OMG Electronics Ltd."
