Bagyong Kabayan (Typhoon Kabayan) was located at 1,000km East of Casiguran,Aurora (16.5N,132.8E) at 6 p.m. today, the PAGASA said Saturday evening.

According to the state weather bureau, as of 4 p.m., Bagyong Kabayan (International codename: Typhoon Muifa) is packing maximum sustained winds of 120 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 150 kph. It is moving to the North at 11 kph.

PAGASA also added the following on its latest bulletin:
Estimated rainfall amount is from 15 – 25 mm per hour within the 600 km diameter of the Storm.

This weather disturbance is too far to directly affect any part of the country.

Bataan, Zambales and Pangasinan will continue to experience monsoon rains (moderate to heavy) which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.
