Grace Lee, the co-host at an event in Cebu where President Noynoy Aquino (PNoy) was the guest speaker, is the talk of the town right now after PNoy made a 'special mention' in his speech on Grace being "gwapa" (Visayan term for "beautiful (woman)").
"Bago ho ako magumpisa mayroon lang akong itatanong kay Governor Gwen sana, kung puwe-puwede ho. Gov. Gwen: mahimo bang mangutana nganu man sa kada bisita nako dinhi sa Cebu, mas daghang gwapa apil si Governor Gwen," PNoy started.
["Before I start, I just would like to ask Governor Gwen why each time I visit here (in Cebu), there are more beautiful women including Governor Gwen.]
"Pati ‘yung bisita nating si Ms. Grace Lee ‘kala ko tuloy Pinay, eh. Di nga pala, Korean. Pero pati Korean na dumadating talagang guwapa lahat," PNoy continued.
[Including our visitor Ms. Grace Lee - I thought she's Filipina. But I was wrong. She's Korean. But also, all Koreans who are coming here are all beautiful.]
In a GMA-7 interview, Lee said, “It’s all a compliment and it’s all ended there so no big deal.”
Lee is also grateful for the compliment saying in an interview with the Manila Bulletin, “I mean, I was very flattered so I thanked Mr. President for, you know, for saying that about me.”
(Noypi's Notes: But we don't know, right? When have you heard the President to be this vocal about expressing his admiration? Maybe he is going to date her as well. :D)
Grace Lee (real name: Kyung Hee Lee) who is Half Filipino and Half Korean, is a disc jockey and an entertainment news anchor on "24 Oras Weekend Edition." She is also co-hosting "Diz Is It" on GMA7.
