The Manila leg of Matchbox Twenty's North Tour has been canceled, "TV Patrol" reported Thursday night.

Matchbox Twenty Manila Concert Cancelled
In a brief report, showbiz reporter Gretchen Fullido said Matchbox Twenty's concert on Friday is not pushing through due to Typhoon Yolanda. Those who have purchased tickets may claim a refund at SM Tickets, she said.

The American pop rock band was supposed to perform before their Noypi fans for the very first time at the SM Mall of Asia on Friday. The tour is also the band's first significant tour since 2007′s "Exile on Mainstream."

Composed of Rob Thomas, Paul Doucette, Kyle Cook, Brian Yale, and Stacy Jones, Matchbox Twenty rose to international fame with their debut album, "Yourself or Someone Like You" (1996).

They have sold over 30 million records worldwide so far and have earned countless accolades, including five Grammy nominations, four American Music Award nods, the 2004 People’s Choice Award for “Favorite Musical Group, and they were named “Best New Band” in the 1997 Rolling Stone Readers Poll.

Among their unforgettable hits are "Push," "Long Day," "Bent," "Disease" and "Unwell."
