Reports say Tyler "Flip" Priddy died on May 28, 2013 at his home in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 31. He is survived by his wife Morgan Amber and children Tovey Gene, Remey J, Dresdyn Rinot and Bennett William Edward.
Flip was the parts warehouse manager at Warren Caterpillar, where he worked for 10 years. He was a drag racing enthusiast who turned his passion towards a reality TV show titled "Street Outlaws," where he beat out several others to be selected for the show. The TV program, which centers around the underground world of illegal street racing, debuted on Discovery Channel on June 10, 2013.

Flip didn't comment suicide ! , Awhile back when I found out he died, I searched and searched for a long time on how he died, I found and heard while visiting in OKC, that he was heating up a nitrous bottle and it exploded right in front of him, I do a lot of racing and I know that those bottles are not supposed to be done like that .... Not at all !

ReplyDeleteHe completed filming the entire first season. From my understanding, they'd already wrapped filming the season & his death occurred just prior to airing.

If so, where do all these other claims come from? And is their any merit to any of it? Just been curious as to what actually happened. Flip seemed like an awesome guy. Very unfortunate untimely death. My regards go out to his wife and kids.

ReplyDeleteI know this is super super late but i just watched an old episode in his memory so i decided to look up his unfortunate death and after looking forever i finally found a link from his hometown news...he passed away from what was said self inflicted gunshot wound in his home...his wife did not want it to be relesed but like asshole that the news/media are they relesed it anyways jusy posted this to clear up all the confusion.
