The PAGASA alerts residents in low lying and mountainous areas under Public Storm Warning Signals against possible flashfloods and landslides as well as those living in coastal areas against big waves or storm surges generated by the weather disturbance.
Typhoon Pedring (Bagyong Pedring) is expected to yield an estimated rainfall amount of 15 - 25 mm per hour within the 650 km diameter of the typhoon.
The PAGASA added that Typhoon Pedring (Bagyong Pedring) will enhance the Southwest Monsoon and will bring scattered to widespread rains over Southern Luzon and Visayas.
