Lyca Gairanod Cast In 'Praybeyt Benjamin' Sequel

"The Voice Kids Philippines" grand champion Lyca Gairanod will be part of the cast of the upcoming sequel of the blockbuster hit "Praybeyt Benjamin."

Director Wenn Deramas himself revealed the casting of 9-year-old singing champ.

"Official nasa PRAYBEYT BENJAMIN PART2 na si Lyca :))," Deramas tweeted.

Lyca's inclusion in the cast received a blessing from "Praybeyt Benjamin" lead star Vice Ganda, who met the "Little Superstar" in his show recently. The movie's cast will also include James “Bimby” Aquino Yap, Richard Yap and Alex Gonzaga.

The film is one of the finalists in this year's Metro Manila Film Festival and will be released on Christmas Day.

Meanwhile, Gairanod is set make her acting debut on tonight's episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya," which is about her own life story as her mother's helper in scavenging junk for a living prior to winning "The Voice Kids." Check out the episode's trailer below:
