Perseid Meteor Shower 2013 |
"Meteors are easiest to see if there is no moonlight, light pollution at all and if the weather permits," PAGASA added.
Meanwhile, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration said the 2013 Perseid meteor shower can yield up to 100 meteors per hour, with many fireballs visible in the night sky.
Said to be the largest meteor display of the year, the Perseids radiate out from the constellation Perseus, which is located in the eastern horizon during August. It occurs every year and is visible starting mid-July, peaking on August 9 and 14 depending on the particular location of the stream.
