Hydrating beer is by far the greatest news for beer drinkers out there. The said hydrating beer is the product of the brilliant minds of Griffith University’s health institute in Queensland, Australia, who conducted a research and then fashioned plain amber ale to be the body’s source of rehydration.

Hydrating beer developed
The scientists added electrolytes which are universally found in sports drink and decreased the amount of alcohol in the ale. Despite such alteration made, these scientists had also found a way to retain the taste of the beverage.

In order to prove the hydrating effects of the modified beer, a study was conducted by the researchers to a group of volunteers after a vital work out.

"Of the four different beers the subjects consumed, our augmented light beer was by far the most well retained by the body, meaning it was the most effective at re-hydrating the subjects," Associate Professor Ben Desbrow, one of the spearheads of the project said.

The electrolytes added to the beer served to replenish the ones which were used up during the exercise and the reduction of the alcohol content correspondingly diminished the usual dehydrating effects of the brew.

This newest invention will surely be an item of consumption to be sought for.  Not only will this be a pleasure drink but most importantly, a real thirst quencher.
