| CSI: Miami Cancelled |
In a statement, the network said: "'CSI: Miami' leaves an amazing television legacy — a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS’ rise to the top over the past decade. We thank all the producers — led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue — and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of 'CSI: Miami' in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come."
"CSI: Miami" reportedly had dealt with depressed ratings and sharply increased production costs in recent seasons. It is the first series in the CSI franchise to be cancelled.
In 2006, "CSI: Miami" was named the World's Most Popular TV Show following rating studies of 20 countries worldwide conducted by Informa Telecoms and Media. The show had also received several awards including 2 Emmys.

what are u nuts why would you cancelle one of the best shows around with out finishing the show properly so becuase others dont watch the show the ones that do suffer i cant what till fall to watch the new season and now i here it is over what is cbs thinking i hope they dont touch the remaining csi shows i would die i grow up on the shows please dont stop the now i ask csb to please take a recount of the fans out there. THE SHOW MUST GO ON
ReplyDeleteYou put a very good show in a bad spot on Sunday night. No one ever knew from week to week how late the show would air or if the first part would be deleted (we now join CSI already in progress). No wonder ratings fell. I guess "The Mentalist" will be the next one axed since it will be airing in that slot.

ReplyDeleteI'm just appalled at how you cancelled this show. I just wish you would re-consider bringing it back as a mid-season replacement. The cast was the perfect mix for each other. When you have a show of this caliber it should not be moved to a slot on Sunday it should have stayed where it was on Monday. From Auntie Niece

ReplyDeleteMove it from Sunday Night and the Ratings will go back up. That's why we stopped watching it, never knew what time it was on due to Ballgames.
ReplyDeleteOK I am apalled. This is one of the best shows on TV. I want it back..The CSI threesome is unstoppable and unequivocally the best shows on TV. This is a travesty. Let's revolt people. CBS should be ashamed to do this to a popular TV show that has made so much money for them. DON'T dare take my CSI NY or Vegas. They can't even give them a series finale???? Ridiculous...now we are stuck with these horrible reality shows like "real housewives"??? I don't think so...they are B.S. I want Horatio Caine back!! He is fantastic and so is CSI Miami..NCIS is B.S. and a copycat..I'LL NEVER WATCH IT. KEEP THE CSI shows CBS!!! MOVE IT TO A DIFFERENT NIGHT IF YOU HAVE TO BUT DON'T CANCEL THIS SHOW!!! ReplyDeleteYears ago you cancelled Dr. Quinn on Saturday at 8:00 pm to appeal to a younger Male audience!!!!! What young Male do you know that is home on a Saturday night at 8:00pm?!???? You guys really don't have a clue.
Why don't you listen to the public?
The show was too costly to produce? What about the Las Vegas CSI? That show isn't expensive to produce?
You never move them from their time slot. Why?
Csi Miami is the best out of the csi shows. Cancel the others, not this one. The ratings feel due to the football games. Never came on in it's time slot.
