The 15-year old singer from California, delivered a powerful perfomance of the the song "Out Here On My Own", Wednesday night (Thursday morning in the Philippines). Last night, Thia was proclaimed as one of the 13 finalists of the talent search after the votes from the show's viewers were tallied.
"You sang Out Here on My Own. Steven was blown away by your perfect pitch. Jennifer loved it," American Idol host Ryan Seacrest said as he delivered the results to the teenager.
Meanwhile, fellow Filipino-American Clint Jun Gamboa failed to charm the voters and was among the 11 casualties of last night's elimination episode.

ReplyDeleteThe biggest problem with Clint is that he's such a show-off and thinks he was all that... he surely lacks humility and was not humble at all!!! It back-fired on him what he did to JC during group week in Hollywood. Surprisingly not any of the three judges even saved him during the final elimination for the top 13. I'm filipino and I was SOOO happy he got voted off! Be humble kiddo and learn from these mistakes! oh well back to LA or yet better luck next year.. oh by the way he acted so GAY when he was voted off. FAG!
ReplyDeleteJennifer lopez didnt liked Clint at all... he was such a show off... esp after what he did to JC in holywood week it was so obvious they didnt like him... its why the judges didnt save him during elimination. Show-off and then now what???? VOted off!

ReplyDeleteI didn't watch any of the audition rounds (never do), so I only caught the performances this week. I thought Clint Jun Gamboa was far and away the best all-around contestant and should be the next American Idol.
ReplyDeleteThen a friend told me the backstory of how Clint made a chubby child cry. And I agree, the Idol cannot be a person who picks on chubby kids.
America won't stand for it and I'm glad to see the judges didn't even give him a chance for the wild card. Randy Jackson has been obese for most of his life, one of Steven Tyler's daughters is a plus-size model, and J-Lo has had weight struggles of her own.
