Dexter Morgan, the blood-spatter analyst who moonlights as a serial killer of 'bad' guys, will again be seen in our TV screens as Dexter Season 5 premiers this Sunday, September 26, 2010.
Dexter Season 5 will consist of 12 episodes. Airing this Sunday, Dexter Season 5 Episode 1 entitled "My Bad" will dwell on the aftermath of Rita's (Dexter's wife) death. A funeral will be held and Dexter has to explain to Astor and Cody what has happened to their mother. Meanwhile, Joey Quinn will start investigating Dexter for the death of his wife.
Julia Stiles will also be guesting in this season of Dexter as a new woman in Dexter's life, Lumen. She will be appearing in 10 episodes. Shawn Hatosy, Maria Doyle Kennedy, April Lee Hernandez, Jonny Lee Miller, Peter Weller and Chris Vance will also be joining Dexter Season 5 casts.
Usually, shows about mass-murders resonate with dark, distilled moments caught on camera. When the Dexter Season 5 show is shot, it is being filmed in Miami, Florida and parts of California. Thus the audience sees a lot of vibrant scenes and their attention spans are held, because it's imagery that people don't usually see everyday.

ReplyDeleteI'm at episode 8 last night (I think the latest but need to check out later if it is, not sure). I found the new season to be very tight int he sense that there are so many loose ends the way Dexter handles the killing. And that there's something that gets involve and now he has partner. Someone knew already about this identity and as far as I know, anyone who knows what he's doing would end up dead in the end. Would Lumen be the same then? I don't know but I guess she will be. How about Quinn, he is near knowing who the associate of the Trinity Killer? Hhmm, everything just gets interesting.
