A UPS delivery man was caught on CCTV camera stealing a FedEx box from the doorstep of a Texas man.

Houston resident Al Alverson was expecting the FedEx box containing an iPad mini he bought online for his daughter but it was not around when he got home.

Wondering where the parcel could be since he received a confirmation of delivery email from FedEx, Alverson checked the surveillance camera installed outside his front door. He was surprised to see on the video that a UPS delivery man, who arrived at his doorstep a few hours later to deliver another package, took the FedEx box with him.

When he reported the incident to UPS, Alverson said that the company was slow in responding to the issue until he posted the CCTV footage on Youtube.

The video shows a FedEx delivery man delivering the package containing the iPad at 9:29 a.m. Wednesday morning. More than 3 hours later, the UPS delivery man shows up to deliver another package at 1:15 p.m. The UPS man can be seen leaving but returns 2 minutes later to steal the FedEx box.

UPS has promised to replace the iPad mini and said that that it has identified the employee in question who was described as a seasonal worker, hired to reinforce the efforts around the holidays.

The UPS delivery man has since been fired and has been arrested by the police and charged with theft.
