'The Healing' has 2 versions in movie theaters

'The Healing' movie poster
As you head to your favorite cinemas to watch the latest Star Cinema horror flick, "The Healing," you have to know that there are two versions of the film being screened, R-13 and R-18.

The R-13 version, or strictly for 13 years old and up, of the VilmaSantos-Kim Chiu film carries the same thrill but is appropriate to the age and comprehension of the minors. While the R-18 or the "director’s cut" is a sure-fire treat to all horror movie fans as it is filled with hair-raising and mindblowing scenes perfect for adult moviegoers, 18 years old and above.

Directed by  Chito S. Roño, "The Healing" also stars Janice de Belen, Mark Gil, Martin del Rosario, Jhong Hilario, Allan Paule, Cris Villanueva, Daria Ramirez, Ces Quesada, Ynez Veneracion, Simon Ibarra, Abi Bautista, Joel Torre, Chinggoy Alonso, Mon Confiado, Carmi Martin and Pokwang.

The two versions of “The Healing” opens in cinemas nationwide today, July 25, 2012.
